Results of FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008

 

On April, 3rd, 2008 within the limits of MosBuild, international building exhibition, took place presentation of prizes and certificates to winners of FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008, founded by Flooring Professional Magazine and ITE (MosBuild).


FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008 – unique event in all Russian market of floor coverings. This year many companyes from the different countries of the world have exposed on competition more than 80 products in 5 nominations: «Hardwood floors»; «Resilient Roll PVC-Coverings»; «Ceramic tile and Ceramic granite»; «Rubber and Dustcontrol Coverings»; «Laminate floors».


Photos of the floor coverings, exposed on competition, the highly professional jury estimated. The jury consisted of three commissions: «Wholesale companies»; «Retail companies»; «Designers-architects».


Comission «Wholesale companies»: Laverna; Kontractstroy; Bamard; Opus; Nikpa.


Comission «Retail companies»: Parquett Hall; Starik Hottabych; Vertikal 98; Topay po horoshemy; Krassula.


Comission «Designers-architects»: Architekturnaya masterskaya Okinshevichey; Bureau architektora Vorontsova; Swanke Hayden Connell Arctitects.


Voting passed On-Line. Judges have got access to page, on which photos of products have been located, the brief description and fields for exhibiting estimations. All floor coverings were estimated on three parameters: «Up-to-date design/style»; «Selection of color»; «General impression from a product». First two parameters were estimated on a 5-mark scale, last on 10-mark. The winner was defined by summation of all estimations from each judge.

Requirements to the layout


1. Advertising layouts are only accepted in EPS (Adobe Illustrator, version up to 8.0) or TIF formats. EPS format with fonts converted to curves and graphic inserted in the file (in CMYK model) is the most preferable. In some cases, upon preliminary agreement, it is possible to submit layouts composed in Quark Xpress 4.11 or 5.0 for PC or in InDesign, version up to 3.0 inclusively.

2. When making page-size layouts (trim size) it is necessary to take into account the following:

• All design elements (text, illustrations, logos) should be placed at least 5 mm from the edge of the layout. Thin frames at the very edge of the layout are not acceptable.

• The background and the elements adjacent to the edge of the page should overlay the edge of the layout by 5 mm. * + 5 mm from each side for the bleed page

3. When proofreading the layout, please, pay special attention to such details as correct address, telephone numbers and any other contact information.. The company is not responsible for any mistakes or inaccuracies in the layouts approved by the advertiser in written form.
