Results of FPM Excellent Flooring Awards for the best flooring design
FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008
On the 3rd of April, 2008, the FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008 established by Flooring Professional Magazine and ITE were given to the winners of the contest at the international building exhibition Mosbuild.
In our opinion, the main event of the Mosbuild exhibition and, maybe, the main event of the year 2008, was the awarding ceremony for the winners of the FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008.
Indeed, such events have never been hold in Russia before. We are sure that our Award will become annual and that from year to year it will attract more and more participants.
In the opinion of market players, FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008 is a unique event. This year companies from various countries of the world submitted to the contest more than 80 products in five nominations: "Hardwood flooring", "Roll PVC flooring", "Ceramic tile and ceramic granite", "Rubber and mud-proof flooring" and "Laminate flooring".
Members of the professional jury judged the photos of the flooring submitted to the contest. We would like to point out the fact that the members of the jury did not know the names of manufacturers and the names of specific collections and decorations submitted to the contest. The jury consisted of three commissions: "Wholesale companies", "Retail companies" and "Designers and architects".
The voting was conducted in on-line mode. The members of the jury received access to the webpage with photos of products, their brief description (once again we want to note that the names of companies and products were not mentioned in the descriptions) and fields for the marks.
All the floorings were estimated by three parameters: "Relevance of the pattern/texture", "Choice of the color range" and "General impression of the product". The first two parameters were estimated by 5-grade scale, the latter was estimated by 10-grade scale. The winner was defined by summing up all the marks from each member of the jury.
The winners of FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008 are:
1. Wood flooring: Lucidi collection, "Gilted silver" decoration, Friulparchet, 172 voices;
2. Ceramic tile and ceramic granite: Mosaic collection, ENiTo Flooring Pte Ltd, 164 voices;
3. Laminate flooring: Woodstock collection, Tobacco Sherwood Oak decoration, Tarkette, 168 voices;
4. Rubber and mud-proof flooring: Nomad collection, 3M Russia, 176 voices;
5. Roll PVC flooring: iQ Melodia collection, Tarkett, 174 voices.
We congratulate all the winners and participants of FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2008 and express our confidence that next year we will see a no less interesting event, FPM Excellent Flooring Awards 2009!
